Case: A Premium Wellness Wearable
The situation
A premium wearable worn as jewelry, built on a therapeutic mechanism for nervous-system regulation, with paid acquisition as the main cold channel. Three audiences on the founder’s own map, and a brief that asked the page to speak to all three at once.
Before any analysis, the founder named the state himself: «I do also feel something is off, but haven’t quite been able to put it into words.» That sentence is the exact condition this audit exists for: a funnel underperforming in a way a founder can sense but cannot name.
The diagnosis
The funnel kept moving a cold visitor between two product realities before belief in the mechanism could form. It opened as a therapeutic regulation device: a patented wearable, a named mechanism, the nervous system. On the same surfaces it re-filed itself as a wellness ornament: healing technology presented as jewelry, merchandising by finish, an energy-and-protection vocabulary. Five mechanism families competed for authority; none was allowed to lock.
A stranger’s brain does not hold five categories in suspension. It compresses to the nearest familiar shelf, an ornament with wellness claims, and judges the price by that shelf’s rules. From there the chain is mechanical: category ambiguity, mechanism confusion, compression into the ornamental comparison set, price judged in the wrong category, suppressed cold conversion, rising CAC, a ceiling on paid scale. The science on the page stopped working as proof and started working as borrowed legitimacy around an unclear object. The funnel monetized niche conviction, buyers who arrive with their own belief bridge, while taxing broad acquisition.
The work
A structural diagnosis brought to an implementable state: block-by-block resequencing of what must lock first, what must not appear too early, and the order in which belief forms before price shows up, plus recorded walkthroughs for every section of the main landing page so the team could implement without the logic drifting. Delivered in eight days against a ten-to-fourteen-day quote.
The client’s verdict, in his own words. Planning rollout: «Let’s schedule a short kickoff to define scope, roles, and cadence, and pilot it on two priority sections.» On the walkthroughs: «THANK YOU!» Closing the engagement: «I really appreciate all the work you’ve done.»
Where it stands: this engagement ran through the walkthroughs. What happens on the page from here is in the client’s hands, and this case reports no results for that reason. The audit starts at €4,500.
Why this matters beyond one brand
The pattern is invisible from inside: the team knows what the product is, so the page reads fine to them. It breaks only for a stranger, and strangers don’t file complaints, they leave. Price objections are very often category objections wearing a costume.
Withheld at the client’s request: brand, product identifiers, channel, and page quotes. The diagnosis and the work are reported as delivered.
